I've learnt the 6 key components of epistemic cognition from the third lecture.what left me deepest impression is the epistemic virtue and responsibility.
I've been using SNS like facebook and renren for years and often surfing the famous BBS of mainland like Tianya and Mop.Everyday users of this website discussing the hot news and controversies are often caused by different factions users.These controversies reflect the different ethics among internet users.Although vituperation often breaks out among part of the users(this is always happen on the internet all over the world not only in china)，these websites play a positive role in promoting ethic and unearthing the truth.Disscussion of internet users supervises the ethic of the real world and guides people's behavior.User's publish their thoughts and opinions over blogs and Twitter(Weibo in China).Good values is easy to spread among people

回复删除Yes, I think the most important power of such SNS for normal people is the benefits of uncovering the truth and promoting the justice. It is existing not just like a tool for entertainment but as a mechanism to absorb the ideas of mankind as a whole. This promote the development of smart planet. And now we tend to see our earth as a whole of life in the universe.
回复删除I agree with your opinion that these websites play a positive role in promoting ethic and unearthing the truth. Some of the truth are hided from the public under some pressures. These websites can function as a supervisor guarding those truth. When people cannot find help from the regular way, media and public are the best place to protect themselves.
回复删除But there are also some shortcomings. sometimes people cannot distinguish right and wrong correctly. People all have something that they prefer to be hided. Some of the people who have made some mistakes may not be given a second chance to correct and improve themselves since they may have been attacked seriously.
Every thing in the world has its own two sides. Without exception, social network has both advantages and disadvantages.
